During the first hour, Michelle Peeters will lead the group through a fluid, inspiring Nia practice. During the second hour, Dana will drop participants into a grounded, introspective Restorative Yoga practice. Please find more information about the instructors as well as Nia and Restorative Yoga below:

Nia is a sensory-based, guided movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts, and healing arts and empowers participants by connecting their body, mind, emotions, and spirit. The soul stirring music will move you–inside and out! It’s kind of like chocolate…You can’t describe it – you have to taste it!

Michelle found Nia in 2005, acquired her white belt in 2010, and blue belt in 2012–both under the guidance of world renowned Nia black belt instructor Winalee Zeeb.

Restorative Yoga is a practice designed to calm the breath, nourish the nervous system, and settle the mind. Restorative poses are done with props to encourage deep rest and relaxation. Music, healing touch, and gentle adjustments help participants drop deeper into the experience.

Dana has been trained as both a Yoga Instructor and Yoga Therapist at Yoga Therapy Toronto. Beginning in 2009, she began teaching Restorative Yoga at the Yoga Therapy Toronto studio, later with The Holistic Way at 681, and in other private and group class settings across the city.
